Our little Myleigh Pearl rocked the stage this weekend with Natural Beauty and then competed in her first talent show at Dazzling Beauties Nationals 2018. I can't believe she is just 2 because she was a big girl all weekend and competed with the best of the best. I have to add, she was one of the youngest in the division also with the Jan 1 fall back so I was super proud. We celebrated "Christmas in July" all weekend long and came home with division Color Glitz Photo, B/W Glitz Photo, Digital Print, Stage Shot, Series Board... NATURAL BEAUTY (oh my heart!!) and TALENT!!! She also won jackpot division talent and now is your "Sweetest Face Supreme."
My heart seriously could burst when she sang, "Jesus Loves Me." She belted it out as loud as she could and then played a portion on her piano. It was the sweetest.
The following morning, was a little early for our girl so I really had no idea how she was going to do... needless to say it wasn't her best on stage Saturday, but she had a great time... Sunday she actually cried leaving because we were leaving "her hotel." LOL!
Someone asked me recently why we compete in these pageants and if she enjoys it.
If you only knew how much time, energy, and money went into these; do you think we would waste so much time, energy, and money if she didn't love it? She really lights up when its her turn to go on "her stage." It so sweet. She loves to practice "her moves" most of the time. Pageants teach the exact same thing sports do: goal setting, "can-do" attitude, performance under pressure; but in pageants you get to wear much better shoes.
